Vista Nueva High School had its WASC visit Monday on March 9th, 2015. The observation and comment about our students was,

Paralympian Tyler Brey of Rocklin, CA, visited Vista Nueva today and spoke to the Student Alliance program about seeking out life experiences and challenges with a "No Excuses" attitude.


Tyler is a Cassio Werneck brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a former powerlifter on the US Paralympic PowerLifting Team, and a NASM-certified fitness instructor at his Tyler Brey Personal Training gym.


NCCT Adult Education

Northern California Contruction Training, INC, (NCCT) is a building trades pre-apprenticeship program. Our primary goal is preparation and placement into the various construction apprenticeships. We provide tools, as well as remedial education and GED prep if necessary!

California Apprenticeship Programs

Use the following link to explore paid learning opportunities statewide. Jobs are mostly in the construction fields with paid benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid vacation). Earn while you learn! Some occupations finish with an international journeyman certification.



Do you know an outstanding teacher? Twin Rivers Unified School District is pleased to participate in the 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year program through the Sacramento County Office of Education.


This program highlights educational innovation, student learning, and the rewards of teaching. The Teacher of the Year process pays tribute to our teaching force, the complexity of challenges that confront our schools, and the need to promote collaboration and teamwork to meet those challenges.


Anyone may submit a nomination form – staff members, students, families, and community members as well as the teachers themselves. Nominations are due to principals, in writing, by Friday, Jan. 20, 2017.
